1135 E 11th St
Historic retail center located on the hard corner of East 11th Street and Studewood. The surrounding walkable neighborhood is comprised of the city’s most popular restaurants, retail shopping areas and walking trails. Homes values directly behind the shopping center have significantly increased in recent years.
-
A historic 100-year-old retail building on the hard corner of East 11th Street and Studewood in the Heights, sitting abandoned after a vehicle crashed into the structure in 2019, sparking a fire and leaving a gaping hole in the side of the building. Despite the visible damage, the property had irreplaceable character, strong bones, and one of the most prominent corners in a walkable, high-demand neighborhood.
-
WCP acquired the property and partnered with Cisneros Design Studio to restore the building using as much of the original material as possible. The renovation addressed the structural damage, repaired the historic brickwork, and repositioned the space for multiple tenants. The goal throughout was a restoration that honored the building's history while bringing it back to life for the surrounding Norhill and Heights community.

1135 E. 11th St. is now a fully leased multi-tenant retail center home to Three Dog Bakery, Republic Boot, and Graze. A building that was once covered in a tarp and written off is now a neighborhood anchor, restored and held for the long term on one of the Heights' most active corners.
